Retirees Honored with Christmas Party

Posted December 16, 2025

Decorated with an abundance of snowmen—a joyful holiday icon—the Presbytery Center took on a festive atmosphere for our annual Retiree Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 3. Upon arriving in their festive garb, guests greeted old and new friends.

Fellowship and meeting up with old friends was enjoyed by all.

Snowmen and party favors—boxes of homemade chocolates and angel ornaments—decorated the tables.

A luncheon, catered by Denise Hobaugh, featured baked ham, scalloped potatoes, salads, breads and her famous cupcake creations. After the meal, the Rev. Mary Kitchen brought a devotion reminding listeners of the joy of giving at Christmas. Then Ray Rosenbauer, Rev. Mary Kitchen and Allen Kitchen presented music selections with song, keyboard, violin, cello and recorder. Everyone joined in to sing familiar carols to round out the festivities.

Lunch was delicious and the fellowship sweet.

The Kitchens and Ray Rosenbauer sang and played a variety of Christmas pieces.

The Ministry and Vocation Committee is honored to celebrate the contributions of our retired pastors with this annual event. Special thanks go to Barb Paff, Executive Presbyter Tom Harmon and ChrisAnn Goossen for organization and preparation. Thank you to Ione Mathias for sharing her extensive snowman collection.
