Rev. Deborah Lynn Crusan passed away Saturday, January 7 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. For over 40 years Deb served as an ordained Presbyterian minister. Most recently she was serving West Sunbury Church in West Sunbury.

Deb was born in Butler, Pennsylvania. She graduated Westminster College and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She was ordained in Kiskiminetas Presbytery in 1989 where she served the yoked congregations of Cherry Tree and Heilwood Churches. She then served in Lake Erie Presbytery with the yoked congregations of First Tidioute and Irvine Churches. She also served for a time in Minnesota and West Virginia.

Deb was received into the Beaver-Butler Presbytery in January of 2012 when she began serving Mt. Chestnut Church in Butler as Parish Associate.

Deb was a strong supporter of youth groups, missionaries, and family counseling. She also supported many local organizations including the New Castle City Rescue Missions, local food banks, and animal shelters. She loved researching and discussing her family history, her pets, sitting on her back porch, sewing, and vacations with family.

We celebrate the life of Rev. Deb Crusan and her service to the Lord.
