Our commissioners to the 227th General Assembly in Milwaukee have returned. In-person attendance for the plenary sessions was held Monday, June 27 until Thursday, July 2 with special events held on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26.
Mark Finch, Elder at Friendship Church in Slippery Rock, Peter de Vries, pastor at Old Union Church in Mars and Caroline Clow, our Youth Advisory Delegate and member of New Bethlehem Church in Aliquippa share photos of their experience. Executive Presbyter Tom Harmon and Stated Clerk Randall Clow also attended and share photos.
A full report from our commissioners and youth advisory delegate will be presented at the July Presbytery Meeting. In the meantime, their photos will give a general overview as we look forward to hearing more.
The Synod of the Trinity hosted a dinner on Saturday.

On Sunday, Rev. Peter de Vries enjoyed a luncheon served at Faith Springs Church, one of about 18 local churches that welcomed GA participants for worship and lunch.

Rev. Peter de Vries addressed the assembly. Though he says it was stressful, he relied on his training and experience as a spiritual director to present his concerns over the manner of the closing of World Mission.
